Eurocarb XI - the eleventh European carbohydrate symposium

The European Carbohydrate organization (ECO) is organising the eleventh European Carbohydrate symposium - Eurocarb XI - at the Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa in Portugal from 2 to 7 September 2001.
Presentations and discussions related to glycochemistry, biochemistry and biotechnology are welcome, and will be considered in the following sessions:
- synthesis and combinatorial chemistry;
- structure and analysis;
- biochemistry, chemical biology and medicinal chemistry;
- biotechnology and industry.
Topics such as vaccines, bacterial pathogenicity and immune inflammatory response, food applications, wood chemistry, paper and fibre biotechnology, environmentally friendly carbohydrate-based materials and natural products, among others are to be included in the above mentioned sessions.
The event aims to attract all scientists and industrial representatives interested in glycoscience.
