A conference on commercialising new technology: current trends and future perspectives, organised by the Hellenich Technology Transfer Center SA and the TII AGM, will be held in Athens, Greece, on 5 to 6 April 2001,

The event is aimed at professionals from all areas of innovation support and from all areas of Europe, who facilitate in one way or another the technology commercialisation process.

The plenary session will cover issues such as the status of innovation in the EU, technology foresight, knowledge management and the Sixth Framework programme.

Workshops will cover technology foresight stimulation in companies, models to evaluate the survival chances of technology start-ups and testing technology transfer negotiation skills.

Parallel sessions will deal with issues such as economic and technological intelligence, orienting R&D towards the market place, academic spin-off support schemes, new trends in business incubation, grants and public funding
