Traffic and Safety in Road Tunnels

The first international conference on traffic and safety in road tunnels will be held on the 28 and 29 May 2001 in Hamburg.
Well-known national and international experts are expected to attend the event, which aims to bring up-to-date knowledge and current developments in this area closer to planners and engineers. The meeting is complemented by an exhibition of selected specialist companies, which are active in the area of safety engineering in tunnels. Here, among other things, the future traffic management of the four Elbe tunnel tubes and automatic fire protection systems for constructional components will be presented.
The speeches and the exhibition are primarily meant for planners in construction authorities, for tunnel operators, for engineering offices and specialist companies in the area of tunnel equipment as well as for safety organisations such as the fire brigade and the police.
