The SPRINT programme is organizing eighteen technology transfer days over the next two years to promote transnational technology transfer to selected firms by introducing companies located in a Member State or region, to technology brokerage and liaison services located in different Member States. These meetings, with a total Community contribution of ECU 600,000, will lead to technical cooperation between European SMEs.

In 1990 SPRINT launched a first call for proposals which resulted in the organization of a series of 23 technology transfer days during 1991 and 1992. Following this successful two-year programme, a new call for proposals to organize these events was launched at the end of 1992. Following this call, 17 organizations were selected, including national agencies and regional development bodies, to organize the new series of technology transfer days.

The schedule thus far established includes:
- Dublin (November 93);
- Lecce (January 94);
- Belfast (March 94);
- Strasbourg (April 94);
- Athens (May 94);
- Canterbury (June 94);
- Dresden (September 94);
- Lyon (September 94);
- Copenhagen (October 94);
- Liege (October 94);
- Viseu (January 95);
- Berlin (February 95);
- Bordeaux (March 95);
- Bedford (May 95);
- Valencia (June 95);
- Lille (September 95);
Pamplona (December 95).

An additional day is planned for the Netherlands in March 95 but the exact location has not yet been determined.
