SPRINT is organizing another policy exchange workshop (6 and 7 December 1993) on tacit knowledge in collaboration with EIMS the European Innovation Monitoring System of the SPRINT programme.(A policy exchange workshop has also been organized for 16-17 November 1993, as mentioned previously in RTD-News).

Tacit knowledge is an expression used to describe the type of knowledge learned only by experience and which is difficult to transmit to others by any means other than demonstration. The first tacit knowledge workshop was held in Luxembourg on 25 and 26 May 1993, with the participation of about 50 experts from the different Member States.

The policy exchange workshops is the second series of tacit knowledge workshops in the field of innovation support for firms and technology transfer. They bring together programme managers, policy and strategy developers and experts in innovation support and technology transfer in order to exchange experiences and to inform on best practices.For more information, please contact:
