Essen, in Germany, hosts a conference on renewable energies from May 28 to 30, 2001. The event will include excursions to renewable energy and wind energy plants and to photovoltaic testing areas.
Discussions will focus on the following topics:

- design, building operation and supervision of facilities to use photovoltaic, solar thermal, geo-thermal, bio and wind energy.
The conference is organised under the auspices of the Minister of economic affairs, energy and transport, North Rhine Westphalia, Germany.
