Portuguese - Polish R&D Seminar

The Portuguese universities foundation (FUP), the Portuguese research liaison office (PRELO), the Institute for international scientific and technological cooperation (ICCTI), the Polish state committee for scientific research (KBN) and the Polish national contact point for the European Commission's Fifth RTD Framework programme are jointly organising a three-day seminar, from 3 to 5 May.

The event, to be held at the Technical University of Lisbon (IST-UTL), aims to promote Portuguese-Polish collaboration in science and technology and to present an overview of key research sectors in both countries.

Both countries' science ministers, Professor José Mariano Gago and Professor Andrzej Wiszniewski will head the delegations. During the first day presentations will be given in specific fields including agriculture, fisheries and forestry, information technologies, materials research and marine sciences. Visits to Portuguese research institutions will cover the second and third days.
