What can new technology do for Europe's road transport?

A high level conference attended by Vice President of the European Commission, Loyola de Palacio and Sweden's Industry Minister on 'New technology for safe and environmentally sound road transport' will take place in Trollhätten, Sweden on 6 June 2001.
The two day programme includes lectures on problems facing road transport in Europe, possible solutions to these problems and demonstrations of possible solutions.
Government officials from the Member States, the European Commission and the European Parliament will be joined by representatives from different organisations and companies within the transport sector.For further information, please consult the following web address:
