The European Commission is inviting organisations to participate in Netd@ys 2001, being held from 19 until 25 November, by presenting a Netd@ys 'labelled' project demonstrating good educational use of online technology in the areas of youth and culture.

The key objective of Netd@ys is to raise awareness of the possibilities of using new media, sounds and images as resources for learning and teaching.

Previously, Netd@ys has focused on schools, which will this year become the target area for the eSchola initiative. Netd@ys 2001 will, for the first time, concentrate on youth issues. It will continue to promote the educational and cultural benefits of the Internet and new media for equipping European citizens with the skills which are necessary for full participation in the Information Society.

All projects meeting the Netd@ys philosophy will be officially confirmed as 'Netd@ys 2001 Projects'.For further information, please consult the following web address:
