Facing the facts: best practices of science-based technology transfer
Plenary and parallel sessions led by experienced speakers will cover a wide range of subjects including a recent ASTP survey on facts and figures of European technology transfer. The conference will highlight the most recent developments to date and every day problems in university-industry technology transfer, for example internal organisation, patent law, the specific and innovative complexities of strategic alliances and the valuation of ICT- and Biotech-technologies.
Key themes of the event are:
- Technology transfer in different European countries as well as in the USA;
- Surveying technology transfer in Europe and the USA;
- Perspectives of university seed and venture capital funds;
- Supra university techtransfer;
- Valuation of technology: ICT and bio-technology;
- University patent law: comparisons and differences within Europe;
- Strategic alliances with universities;
- Internal organisation of university technology transfer;
- Social program, including a visit to 'Bavaria Valley'.
The event hopes to attract around 150 people related to technology transfer within Europe and Israel.
