New technology for safe and environmentally friendly road transport

A high level meeting on new technology for safe and environmentally sound road transport, organised jointly by the Swedish Ministry of Industry, employment and communications, the National road administration and the Municipality of Trollhätten will be held on 6 and 7 June.

Around 100 Member State government and European Commission representatives will attend the event along with delegates from organisations and companies within the transport sector.

The event will tackle the question of whether road traffic can be sustainable with regard to health and the environment. New solutions with regard to vehicles, infrastructure and traffic will be outlined.

Examples of the successful introduction of new technology for traffic safety and the environment will also be summarised, with speakers addressing the question of how this new technology can be introduced.

Around 20 companies will also be represented at an exhibition demonstrating the diversity of technical solutions.For further information, please consult the following web addresses:
