PARTNERS FOR LIFE, a trans-national project co-funded by the European Commission looking to increase the participation in the life sciences research programmes of the European Union of SMEs (small and medium sized enterprises) working in the biomedicine, biotechnology and agro-industrial sectors, is currently organising two international brokerage events.

The events are designed to bring together companies and researchers from all over Europe and provide them with the possibility to meet potential partners with a view to preparing joint research proposals.

The first brokerage event is to be held in Poznan, Poland, on 11 September and will focus on SMEs in the sectors of agro-industry. It will be held on the occasion of the PolAgrar Fair, which is a major international event with 2000 international participants.

The second brokerage event will be organised in conjunction with the international Biotechnica fair in Hannover (http://www.biotechnica.de(opens in new window)) on 9 October. Bilateral meetings will be arranged on the basis of partner profiles which will be filled in by each participant during the registration phase of the brokerage event. Registered participants will receive the catalogue of profiles beforehand.

The Biotechnica Fair will on its part be offering a platform for enterprises, research institutes and universities to present their latest developments and scientific results in the field of biotechnology. 900 exhibitors in the fields of nutrition, agriculture, pharmaceutics and the environment are expected. The fair will host a congress with presentations from several international experts.
