Rik Daems, Belgian Minister for telecommunications, public enterprise and participation, will kick off a conference on eGovernment applications called 'From Policy into Practice' on 29 to 30 November 2001 in Brussels.

This high level conference jointly organised by the Belgian Presidency and the European Commission, will focus on interactive public eservices, and demonstrate how citizens and businesses can reap concrete benefits from public services delivered on-line.

An exhibit of good practice will provide a backdrop for the day's discussions on how to provide an appropriate framework to address eGovernment issues beyond the 2002 eEurope Action Plan.

An information day on the call for applications will take place in Brussels on July 10 in the Charlemagne Building, rue de la Loi 170 from 9.00 - 13.00 h.porteIf you would like to participate, please register by e-mail at:
