A conference on the sustainable information society will take place in Kouvola, Finland on 27 to 28 September. The event is being organised by the town of Kouvola, the Finnish Ministry of the Environment and the Association of Finnish local and regional authorities, in association with the European Commission and a number of Finnish organisations.

The conference aims to further the convergence of the key issues in environmental sustainability, the development of the information society and future research. The focus will be specifically on every day life and experiences of the information society.
