A conference on 'Poland in the European research area [ERA]', organised by Poland's National Contact Point (NCP), will be held in Cracow, Poland on 21 and 22 September.

Representatives from the European Commission and the Polish government will attend the event, along with people from industry, academics and other experts.

The main objectives of the conference are to discuss Poland's participation in the Fifth Framework Programme (FP5), consider the challenges posed by the ERA, and discuss the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) and Poland's position on the proposals. The event will also present Polish FP5 success stories, promote Polish networks of excellence, provide a forum for an exchange of best practices between Polish and EU scientists and strengthen collaboration in research with other European countries.For further information, please contact:
