Commission conference to examine environmental governance

The European Commission's Environment DG is organising a high level conference on 'The Commission's White Paper on governance: what's in it for the environment?' in Brussels on 3 and 4 December.
Environment Commissioner Margot Wallström will open the conference, which will examine issues such as transnational cooperation and the role of the regions, enlargement and the subsidiarity principle in environmental policy and sustainable development.
