Innovation Centre to host R&D proposal workshops
A proposal-writing workshop for the Information Society Technologies (IST) programme will be held on 21 January 2002. The event aims to show participants how to turn a good idea into a winning research proposal. It is aimed at those preparing an RTD (research and technological development) proposal for submission to the European commission's IST programme in April 2002. The workshop will address issues such as clear communication of ideas, evaluation criteria and common pitfalls.
A workshop on 'Negotiating and administering EU research contracts' will take place on 22 January 2002. It will provide an overview of the Commission contract negotiation process and the subsequent administration of the contract, it is aimed at all who intend to participate in EU-funded RTD projects.
On 14 March 2002, a workshop will be held on the subject of 'Managing EC research projects.' The workshop will explain how such projects are managed and how good practices can be used to support successful delivery of results. It is aimed at all who intend to participate in EC-funded RTD projects, particularly potential project coordinators and managers.
