Innovative SMEs event to be held in Madeira

CORDIS will be represented at the forthcoming Regio partenariat event in Madeira on 27 February.
The event will include a number of SME (small and medium sized enterprise) presentations, as well as interviews with those who have been nominated for awards. In addition, ten workshops are planned analysing specific sectors, such as information communications technology, applied biotechnology, environment and energy and new materials and applications.
Other workshops will be dedicated to the role of business support structures such as BICs (business innovation centres) across Europe. These will analyse how BICs can help in regional development, what the role of e-BICs is and the various ways in which BICs can help SMEs to develop.
A visit to the Madeira free trade zone will also take place. The aim of the event as a whole is to provide information in a networking environment and to this end, a number of business to business meetings will be arranged and an exhibition will take place alongside the event, at which CORDIS will have a stand.
