Focus on mechanical and electrical engineering and technology and the marine industry

An international congress on mechanical and electrical engineering and technology will take place together with a conference on the marine industry in Varna, Bulgaria from 6 to 11 October 2002.

The main aim of the event, 'MEET/MARIND'2002' is to present and summarise the most recent achievements and trends and to establish what is necessary for efficient research and technological development (RTD) support.

Topics to be addressed at the conference include:
- Major research and scientific achievements and results applicable in different sectors of industry and transport
- Advanced approaches and methods for building adequate research, technological and investigation programmes;
- State of the art and trends in the development of different sectors and sub-sectors of industry and transport;
