European business summit to provide stage for dialogue between business leaders and policy makers

European Commissioners, politicians, business leaders and stakeholders will gather in Brussels on 6 to 8 June for the second European business summit on 'entrepreneurship and sustainable development in an enlarged Europe'.

In 12 sessions, a select panel of speakers will discuss how entrepreneurs can contribute to sustainable development in an enlarged Europe through improved economic, social and environmental performance.

EU Commissioners will be out in force at the event. Erkki Liikanen, Philippe Busquin. Günter Verheugen, David Byrne, Viviane Reding, Mario Monti, Pascal Lamy and Anna Diamantopoulou have already confirmed their attendance of the summit, and will be accompanied by business leaders from the EU and candidate countries representing a wide range of sectors. All will participate in panels at the event.

National politicians will also be present at the event, including Romanian Prime Minister Adrian Nastase. Foreign ministers and ministers from the economy are also expected to participate and 12 candidate countries have confirmed that they will take part in the country presentations and/or networking village.For further information on the event and to register, please consult the following web address:
