How prepared are we for ERA and is ERA prepared for us?

The 10th meeting of the Norwegian Research and IT Forum Brussels will focus on the European research area (ERA) when it meets on 11 September.
The event, which is organised by the Mission of Norway to the EU, will look at the interplay between European and national research policies and how well smaller companies are preparing for ERA. It will also focus on the balance between ERA preparations and the need to develop national strengths. One of the issues it will address is whether national research policies, systems and instruments should be optimised to increase the chances of success for ERA, and if so, in what ways.
The main speakers include Dr Achilleas Mitsos, Director General of DG Research, Kristin Clemet, Norwegian Minister for Education and Research, and Thorkil Kjems, Science Counsellor, representing the Danish presidency.
The Forum has a membership of over 400 meets at the offices of EFTA in Brussels.For further information, please contact:
