UK information days on IST and project coordination under FP6

Two workshops for EU R&D (research and development) project proposers, administrators and managers will be held in Cambridge, the UK in October.
On 25 October, the workshop 'The IST [information society technologies] programme in Framework 6' will explain the Commission's proposals for new mechanisms of research support which should come into effect towards the end of 2002, including networks of excellence and integrated projects. The workshop is intended for research managers and administrators who already have some knowledge of EU research programmes.
On 28 October, the workshop 'Co-ordinating EC research projects' will take place. The workshop will describe how projects operate from a formal point of view, and compare the requirements of the Fifth Framework programme with those of the Sixth Framework programme. This workshop is aimed at project coordinators and administrators assisting the research teams working on these projects.
Both events will consist of lectures, practical exercises and feedback sessions, and will allow plenty of time for questions and discussion.For further information, please contact:
