A conference focusing on space technology transfer for alpine activities will take place in Innsbruck, Austria on 28 and 29 October 2002.
The workshop is intended to be a creative session to generate project ideas where space technologies can provide effective solutions for the challenges identified in activities undertaken within the Alpine regions. The event will address giving applications a more practical and broader appeal.
Discussions will cover issues such as safety and security, leisure and tourism, water resources, new materials and ecology.
