Following the adoption of the EU Action Plan on skills and mobility at the Barcelona Council, the European Commission is organising a major e-business skills event in Copenhagen from 17 to 18 October.

The summit will be organised around three themes: the ICT (information communication technologies) skills gap issue, the e-economy and e-learning. Sessions will cover industry and government partnerships, industry certifications, standards, e-learning solutions, content, and broadband.

The event is expected to attract some 600 policy makers, education experts, and industry and academia representatives to discuss the e-economy, and opportunities to boost skills, competitiveness and job creation in Europe.

Keynote speeches will be delivered by representatives from the Danish Presidency, the European Commission and industry CEOs.For further information, please consult the following web address:
