Biotechnology in Europe's cities

Biocities 2002, an event addressing biotechnology in Europe, will take place in Lisbon, Portugal on 28 and 29 November.

The event is intended to promote a comprehensive debate on the means and conditions for the development of biotechnology in Europe's cities. This is the second year that the event will be held.

The congress will focus on four areas of debate:
- the social impact of biotechnology;
- biotechnology challenges in medicine, agriculture and environment;
- education and training in biotechnology;
