Women and science come under spotlight at FP6 launch event

A workshop at the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) launch event in Brussels on 13 November will present the initiatives the European Commission has designed to promote gender equality in research, one of the objectives of FP6.
The workshop has been organised by the Research DG's Women and Science unit in conjunction with the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF).
The workshop will also present Member State activities designed to support the Commission's initiatives and encourage networking to overcome the fragmentation of efforts in this field.
