Economic and social implications of ICT

A conference on the economic and social challenges presented by ICTs (information and communications technologies), supported by the Commission's Information Society DG will take place in Lyon, France on 21 and 22 November.

A wide range of speakers from industry, EU Member States and the USA will address issues such as socio-economic prospects, the role of equipment manufacturers, and networked territories and globalisation.
