The Czech national conference to launch the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) will take place in Prague on 20 January 2003.

The conference will present the FP6 concept for integrating European research, development and innovation activities with emphasis on the new tools developed for achieving the ambitious plan of creating the European Research Area (ERA)

The structure and thematic priorities of FP6 will be presented, along with the rules for participation and the financing of FP6 projects. National support measures for international cooperation in research and development will also be discussed with representatives of national authorities.

The conference is intended for researchers and managers from academia, industry, small and medium sized enterprises and industrial associations.For further information, please contact:
