International conference on systems biology: The logic of life

The third international conference on systems biology will take place from 13 to 15 December in Stockholm, Sweden.
It will bring together experimentalists and theorists from Europe, Japan and the USA and will feature experimental, computational and theoretical advances in the rapidly advancing fields of gene expression acquisition technologies, gene expression data analysis, functional analysis of biological control systems, proteinomics, modelling and analysis of kinetic networks, metabolomics, signal transduction, morphogenesis, molecular neurobiology, and much more.
System Biology concerns the quantitative analysis of biological processes and systems, where experiments and theory are integrated. Studies in system biology focus on dynamics and how biological systems change during a given time period. Remarkable progress in molecular biology has lead to a complete map of the building blocks of life. The next major challenge is to understand the interactions between the myriad of sub-cellular components.
Co-organised by Uppsala University, the Royal Institute of Technology, the Swedish Institute of computer sciences and Linköping University, the conference will include keynote speeches from James J. Collins (Center for BioDynamics, Boston University), John Doyle (Control and Dynamical Systems, Caltech) Uri Alon (Weizmann Institute) and Yoshihide Hayasizaki (Genome Exploration Group, RIKEN Genomic Sciences Centre).For further information, please visit:
