FP6 launch event in Greece: insight into calls and work programmes

The Help-Forward Network/FORTH is organising two events in Greece to launch the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) and to provide information on participation in the programme. The first event will be held in Thessaloniki on 8 January 2003, and the second in Athens on 9 January.
The events, which will have identical programmes and speakers, will focus on the following key thematic priority areas:
- nanotechnology and nanosciences, knowledge-based materials, new production processes and devices;
- aeronautics and space;
- sustainable development, global change and ecosystems.
Delegates from industry and scientific research will hear information on funding opportunities and the thematic areas, presented by representatives from the European Commission and national organisations. Special attention will be paid to outlining the new instruments of FP6: integrated projects and networks of excellence.
The Help-Forward Network/FORTH is the Greek national contact point for the seven thematic priorities of FP6. Both events are organised in collaboration with the Greek General Secretariat of Research and Technology.For further information, please contact:
