The Commission's Enterprise DG and the Greek Presidency are jointly organising a conference on Europe's entrepreneurial future in Thessaloniki on 13 February.

The event is a follow up to the Commission's Green Paper on entrepreneurship published on 21 January, and aims to launch a public debate on the issue. The conference will include workshops that address key themes identified in the Green Paper as the most relevant to fostering entrepreneurship in Europe, namely:
- bringing down barriers to entrepreneurship;
- balancing risk and reward to encourage entrepreneurship;
- building an entrepreneurial society.

Among those who will be considering the most appropriate policy options for Europe at the event will be Akis Tsohatzopoulos, the Greek Minister for Development, Erkki Liikanen, Commissioner for Enterprise and the Information Society, Members of the European Parliament, and leading entrepreneurs.

Simultaneous interpretation will be provided at the event in German, Greek, English and French.For further information, please consult the following web address:
