Greek Presidency organises seminar to discuss Lisbon strategy

The EU Greek Presidency and the Greek Ministry of the Economy and Finance will hold a seminar in Athens on 7 and 8 February to stimulate policy debate, prior to the 2003 Spring European Council, about reaching the Lisbon goal of making the European economy the most competitive and dynamic knowledge-based economy in the world.
The event, entitled 'Economic policy and the sources of growth In Europe' will bring together members of the European Commission, internationally renowned economists, senior policy-makers and social partners.
EU Commissioner for Research, Philippe Busquin, will be present to speak about innovating and investing to raise Europe's growth potential during one of the five roundtables organised for the event.To obtain further information and a registration form please visit:
