The University of Bari in Italy is to host an information day on Priority 3 of the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6), 'nanotechnologies and nanosciences, knowledge-based multifunctional materials and new production processes and devices', on 10 February.

The event will highlight the most practical aspects of FP6, such as the evaluation criteria and the requirements for participation. The current calls for proposals will also be presented.

In the afternoon session, participants will hear about the model contract of FP6 as well as foreseen actions to assist research mobility through the Marie Curie fellowship programme.

The event is being organised by the Italian Ministry for Education, Universities and Research (MIUR), the University of Bari and Confindustria, an organisation that represents the manufacturing and service industries.

Speakers include representatives from the European Commission, MIUR, Confindustria, National Contact Points (NCP) and the Marie Curie Actions.For further information, please visit:
