eContent information day, Greece

An information day on the European Commission's eContent programme is being organised by the Greek national documentation centre (EKT), on 14 February in Athens. EKT is also the National Contact Point for eContent in Greece.

The event will focus on the current call for proposals and the future actions of the eContent programme.

Among the speakers at the event are representatives from the European Commission's Information Society DG and national delegates for the eContent programme in Greece.

The eContent programme is part of the action plan for eEurope, which aims at disseminating European digital content in global networks. Investment in eContent is considered to be a key tool in achieving the Lisbon European Council goal of making the EU the most competitive and dynamic knowledge-based economy in the world by 2010.For further information, please contact:
