A conference entitled 'Sustainability in European regions; The role of information and communication technologies (ICT)' is taking place from 25 to 27 March in Cardiff, Wales.

The main aim of the conference and parallel sessions is to explore the role of European regional networks in helping to promote the development of the information society in regions. Particular attention will be paid to how regional information society technologies (IST) initiatives are addressing the three pillars of sustainable development: economic, social and environmental.

Speakers at the event include representatives from the Welsh assembly government and the European Commission, as well as members of regional networks.

The event has been organised by TeleRegions network (TRN), a European initiative that brings together some 40 regions from West Sweden, Wales, Spain and the UK.For further information, please visit the following web address:
