Polish conference to address technology and the environment
The conference is being organised under the Fifth Framework Programme's international cooperation (INCO) section. Around 100 participants from the EU Member States, Central and East European countries and Newly Independent States are expected to attend the event.
The conference will focus on:
- environmental quality in urbanised areas;
- trans-border propagation of pollutants in the environment;
- methods of identification and assessment of air pollutants and noise emissions generated by industrial plants;
- modelling of air pollutants and noise propagation in industrial areas;
- methods for reducing noise emissions from industrial plants and roads;
- utilisation of mine workings for depositing dangerous wastes;
- implementation of state-of-the-art systems for the management of municipal wastes;
