Italian Minister to attend telecommunications event

Lucio Stanca, Italian Minister for Innovation and Technologies, will be the guest of honour at a telecommunications event hosted by Puntoit in Brussels on 26 March.
The event has been organised to coincide with the EU Telecom Council, and expects to attract European industry representatives and the media.
With Italy taking over the EU Presidency in July, the event is seen as an opportunity to discuss some of the current issues in the telecommunications sector at a European level. These include:
- the overall state of the sector;
- measures for broadband development;
