A meeting of the European platform for biodiversity research strategy (EPBRS) will take place from 22 to 27 May 2003 in Lesvos, Greece.

EPBRS is a thematic network, funded under the Fifth Framework Programme (FP5), which aims to improve the effectiveness and relevance of European biodiversity research while contributing to European Research Area (ERA) for biodiversity.

The scientific theme of the meeting is 'biotic resources and environmental governance in a changing planet.'

The meeting aims to bring researchers and policy makers together in order to promote the exchange of information, best practices and scientific knowledge.

The event is being organised by the University of the Aegean and will involve members of the thematic network and national representatives involved in biodiversity research strategyFor further information, please contact:
