Researchers, policy makers and social partners will gather in Thessaloniki, Greece, on 22 and 23 May to discuss the skills needed in Europe in order to meet the Lisbon goal of becoming the world's most competitive economy by 2010.

The event, organised by Cedefop in collaboration with the German Ministry of Education and Research, the Fraunhofer Institute for industrial engineering and the social science research centre in Berlin, will collate European experiences and 'best practices' on the identification, anticipation and monitoring of changing and new emerging skills at national, sectoral and regional levels.For further information, please visit:
