European science education initiative - FP6 information day

An information day on the Sixth Framework Programme call for proposals for a 'European science education initiative', organised by the European Commission, will take place in Brussels on 12 May.

The call relates to existing science teacher networks and the combination of expertise across the relevant professions to provide an openly accessible resource infrastructure for the dissemination of information. Either a single project or a number of clustered projects will be funded under the initiative.

The event will address the following issues:
- rationale for action;
- objectives of the call;
- scheduling and administrative information
- support instruments open under the call (coordination actions and specific support actions);
- interactive discussion, question and answer session.
