FP6 information day and launch conference, Turkey

TUBITAK, the scientific and technical research council of Turkey, with the support of the European Commission, is organising a Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) information day and launch conference, to take place from 24 to 25 April in Istanbul.
The information day will take place on 24 April, and will be organised around three main activities:
- parallel sessions covering the thematic priorities of FP6, methods of project evaluation, cost models and intellectual property rights;
- presentations from universities and companies involved in international research projects;
- panel discussions on submitting proposals.
The national launch conference for FP6 will take place on 25 April, and will focus on the theme 'The integration with Europe in research and technology development'.
The conference will be split into four sessions. The first two panel sessions will focus on the expectations of universities and business for FP6. The following session will look at three themes: 'FP6 organisation', 'RTD (research and technological development) liaison offices in Brussels' and 'Israeli experiences'. The final session will consist of a presentation by the Director General of the Research DG, Dr Achilleas Mitsos.
Both the information day and launch conference are free of charge, and are intended for researchers and managers from academia, industry, small and medium sized enterprises and industry associations.For further information, please contact:
