11th European congress on biotechnology, Switzerland

The European federation of biotechnology is organising the 11th European congress on biotechnology, to take place from 24 to 29 August in Basel, Switzerland.

The congress is subtitled 'building bridges between biosciences and bioengineering' and will offer symposia dedicated to the most recent developments and achievements in modern biotechnology.

Specific topics include:
- biotechnology for animal and human health;
- functional genomics, proteomics and metabolomics;
- nanobiotechnology;
- economic aspects of biotechnology (start-ups, spin-offs).
