Vienna hosts e-Power conference on regional responses to the ICT challenge

The e-Power network is organising a conference on regional responses to developing information and communication technologies (ICT), to be held on 3 and 4 July in Vienna, Austria.
e-Power is a network of some 60 regional technology centres focused on accelerating the take up of ICT activities by small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the engineering and manufacturing sector. Funded under the information society technology (IST) programme of the Fifth Framework Programme (FP5), the project is also supported by the Commission's Go Digital initiative.
The conference will gather together e-Power members and companies to review the implementation of technology centres in a number of regions and explore other networking concepts and content management. Key concepts for discussion include: virtual organisations; clusters and networks; ICT services and new business models.
An exhibition will run in parallel with the conference, displaying a number of support tools or services of interest to regional technology centres.For further information, please consult the following web address:
