Final conference of the EU Blueprint network
The Blueprint network was established to examine the relationship between science and technology (S&T) and environmental policies considering the complexity of factors influencing innovation and environmental decisions in firms. The objective of the network is to promote dialogue between the socio-economic research community, policy makers, industry and intermediate organisations in Europe in order to enhance policy coherence in addressing sustainable development issues.
At the conference, the final Blueprint policy paper with recommendations for coordinating environmental and innovation policy at EU and Member State level will be presented and discussed.
Statements will be given by representatives from the European Commission, national ministries, research institutions and industry. In addition, parallel workshops will be organised on:
- strengthening instruments for eco-innovation on the firm level, such as integrated product policy and emissions trading;
- strengthening the Seville process and the Cardiff process;
