The EU's contest for young scientists will take place in Budapest, Hungary, from 20 to 26 September.

Some 114 young people, aged between 15 and 20 and representing 37 countries, will come together to present their prize winning projects from national competitions and compete for the contest's nine prizes.

The prizes, worth a total of 28,500 euro, will be presented following a decision by an international jury of 15 eminent and independent scientists.

The award ceremony will take place on 25 September, and will be attended by high level representatives from the Hungarian government and the European Commission, as well as many internationally renowned scientists.

The projects on display cover a wide range of scientific disciplines, from social sciences and astrophysics to environmental investigation and mathematical modelling.For further information, please visit:
