Interworking '94

The Second International Symposium on Interworking "INTERWORKING '94", supported by several of the major actors in the field, including the Community's specific RTD programme in communications technologies (RACE), will take place in Sophia Antipolis, France, on 4-6 May 1994.

The 1994 Symposium focuses on heterogeneity and interoperability. The programme includes:

Tutorials (4 May):
- Interworking in heterogeneous networking;
- Interoperability in broadband networks.

Symposium (5 May):
- Opening session;
- Introduction of ATM into commercial use;
- Architecture and models of heterogeneous networks;
- Frame relay-ATM interworking;
- Service interoperability-network;
- Panel discussion on the importance of interoperability in broadband evolution.
