A conference entitled 'the broadband revolution takes shape' will be held on 2 December in Brussels.
The event will be attended by EU Commissioner for Enterprise and the Information Society, Erkki Liikanen, and Italian Minister for Telecommunications, Maurizio Gasparri, along with senior figures from the telecommunications industry, officials from EU institutions, content providers and consumer groups.
A series of sessions will take place addressing a number of topics, including the capacity of new Internet services to capitalise on broadband's technology; the role of the new EU regulatory framework in encouraging industry to invest in broadband; and the emergence of broadband strategies aimed at meeting the Lisbon process objectives.For further information, please visit:
