The eighth Irish innovation conference, entitled 'A Foundation for Innovation', will be held in Dublin on 20 November.

Participants will be asked to analyse the country's National Innovation System and to put forward recommendations on how the system can be improved and strengthened. Feedback from the workshops will form the basis of recommendations to be presented to the Irish government.

To be opened by the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Mary Harney, the conference will also hear keynote speeches from Claire Nauwelaers, Research Director of the Maastricht Economic Research Institute on innovation and technology (MERIT) and Richard Riley, a former US Secretary of Education. For further information, please consult the following web address: http://www.forfas.ie/news/InnovConf03/index.html(opens in new window)
