A seminar on the development of new technology partnerships in an enlarged EU and access to markets in Central and Eastern European countries (CEECs) will take place in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, on 17 November. The event is being organised by the EWISME project, funded under the EU's innovation programme.

The seminar is designed for managers of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) who are interested in technology transfer and the development of new products with potential partners from CEECs.

Speakers will address:
- developing successful partnerships between firms in Eastern and Western Europe;
- identifying the needs in terms of know-how for the creation and management of East-West partnerships for technology transfer;
