Optical technologies evening to open 'fascination of light' exhibition

A seminar on optical technologies, attended by EU Enterprise and Information Society Commissioner Erkki Liikanen, as well as UK MEP Eryl McNally, will take place in Brussels on 9 December.
Presentations will take place on the opportunities offered by optical technologies for Europe's economy, photons, research to aid the visually impaired, and the potential of optical technologies for future automotives. The exhibition 'Fascination of Light' will then be officially opened.
The travelling exhibition will present interactive exhibits, functional models and multimedia stations, providing answers, explanations and demonstrations on an array of questions concerning the technology. It is sponsored by the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research, and has so far attracted more than 30,000 visitors.For further information, please contact:
